Collecting information from a Client through our website is necessary for us to effectively provide wedding planning services. This includes Personal Information (e.g., identity documents for Seychelles civil ceremonies) and Non-Identifying Information (e.g., preferred wedding themes or guest count).

To adhere to the laws of the Republic of Seychelles regarding legal marriages, we collect Personal Information for the purposes of validating your identity. This involves the requisition of documents such as birth certificates, divorce decrees (if applicable), and valid passports.

The Client has the right to know what information we collect and store, except in cases where legal exceptions apply. Information is made available to the Client at no cost. You may view or update your information through your account or by contacting support. The Client also has the right to download their data or request corrections to ensure accuracy.

6. Data Subject Rights

The Client has rights relevant to our processing of information, subject to certain limitations under the Data Protection Act. These rights include:

  • Requesting a human review of any automated information processing;
  • Opting out of direct marketing, such as newsletters or wedding trend updates;
  • The deletion of personal information, where applicable;
  • Requesting a temporary restriction of data processing.
  • Deletion Note: Deletion: Certain Personal Information cannot be deleted if it is essential for maintaining active contracts, documenting financial transactions, or fulfilling legal marriage registration requirements with the Seychelles Civil Status office.

    Temporary Restriction: You may request a restriction if you believe the information is inaccurate or that there are no legal grounds for its processing. AS Events will review such requests promptly.
